The Harvest Educational Consulting Group, L.L.C. has designed a five-stage plan that allows school board members to concentrate on more important segments of the search process such as the interview and selection of the successful candidate. Our team of experienced educational leaders works in conjunction with school board members and district stakeholder groups identified by the board, in order to follow a comprehensive process that culminates in the selection of the most qualified candidate for your district.

Our five-stage plan is outlined below:

Stage 1

  • We will work with school board members to Identify and capture the desirable characteristics of the future superintendent

  • Appropriate timelines will be established that will clearly outline each stage of the search process

  • We will work with the school board members to identify appropriate advertising avenues

Stage 2

  • We will meet with designated stakeholder groups identified by the school board

  • Share advertising and promotional materials and advertise the vacancy

  • Actively recruit applicants.

Stage 3

  • Read and evaluate all completed applicant files

  • Share all application materials with school board members

  • Conduct complete reference checks

  • Assist board members in selecting qualified candidates to be interviewed

Stage 4

  • Prepare the board for the interview process

  • Schedule and coordinate interviews

  • Keep all candidates informed of their status in the selection process

Stage 5

  • Establish performance objectives for the superintendent.

  • Provide support during the transitioning process.
